I had to miss the last race due to work and now it looks like I will miss the last race as well because of work. I was hoping to make it to at least one of the last two races but it appears it is not to be. I will miss you cross. I guess my mountain bike season will help me not miss you as much while you are gone, but I will be impatiently waiting on next fall.
In other news I clipped a tree yesterday on the trails and have left my hand all banged up and sore. It’s probably a blessing in disguise that it is pissing rain today because I had a long trail ride planned for today.
There are some rumblings out there about a race that I am getting really interested in, the Skyway Epic.
The Skyway is a rough dirt road that spans from Mount Cheaha (the highest point in Alabama) to Sylacauga. The race would basically be an out and back potentially spanning a distance of 70ish miles.
From what I have seen from this Garmin data and this YouTube video of two guys on motorcycles the race does seem to live up it’s name, EPIC! I hope to get a group together to go suffer on this dirt road soon.
Check out the Facebook page for the event as well as it’s home on my beloved BamaCross site. Word is that there will only be 100-150 spots available. Count me in!
A little while ago I looked to see how much it would be to upgrade my Adobe Creative Suite. I currently have CS3 and was looking to upgrade to CS5.5. It would cost me $949 to UPGRADE! I mean come on Adobe. They are great programs but that’s just a little crazy. When I upgraded to CS3 it was less than $400 and I had CS1.
